ETRON is a world-class IC fabless manufacturer, specializing in the design and production of niche application-driven buffer memory products and system-in-package chips. The company was established in February 1991 in the Hsinchu Science Park. It was one of the pioneers in VLSI memory development and undertook the national "Sub-Micron Program" design project, developing 8-inch wafer sub-micron technology, which laid a solid foundation for the flourishing development of Taiwan's DRAM and SRAM industries.
